| I put a little note on my wall calender, supplied by Rachel, to update here on the first of the month, to let everyone know what's going on. So, let's see... --------- I've edited my links, and added the Alpha Rubicon visitor page. Lots of useful info, there. Arocoun especially would like it. --------- UNCG started last week, and I've been very busy with that. I'm taking lots of Geography Courses, (Urban Geography, Climate and Weather, Arc-GIS, World Regional Geography)...And spanish. Bleh. No offense to spanish majors, but I am not a word person! So, spanish is going to be my hardest class, bar none. Science...Is a lot easier for me. ---------- Went on a camping trip with Scott to the mountains, didn't work out too well because I had to slaughter my non-venting A-Frame tent, that was catching bucket-loads of condensation, to put together a rough lean-to. Also didn't go to well because Scott takes a more shambolic approach to camping, compared to my more methodical means. I'm putting together another trip in my head, to leave out shortly, say a few weeks from now, after the summer weather starts to cool off. Not taking Scott, only going for one night, cooking my food, and I'm going to stay where I camp all day until I am ready to leave! Also going to camp where I have cell-phone reception, so that I can contact Rachel in case of an emergency. ----------- My trusty old desktop PC finally bit the dust, after many years of hard use, so I went ahead and followed through with the plan I laid down four years ago: I got a nice, smallish laptop. It's amazing how much room can be freed up in an office with just one change! I'm loving this, I can go sit on the Couch if I want and be with Rachel, while puttering around on the computer, rather than being sequestered in another part of the house! ----------- Selling my Rurouni Kenshin manga on E-Bay. I haven't read any of them in months, 28 books taking up space. You know...I might just sell all of them? I don't get the same joy out of them that I used to. I guess I've just grown out of it. ----------- Bought a Leatherman Charge AlX to be my new right hand carry along with my Leatherman Charge Ti. Multi-tools are things that you use in conjunction with something else. It has a knife, but you have to sharpen it on something other than it's own diamond file. But you can sharpen other knives with it. You can loosen nuts sometimes, but sometimes you need another screwdriver or another pair of pliers to do it. That's why I'm going to be carrying two, so that I can sharpen both knives on the go, have two pliers for opening and closing lag bolts, I can grip something hard with the pliers and file it or saw it with the other, I can loosen regular bolts with the screwdriver on one and the pliers on the other etc...It goes on and on. Oh, and both have 154cm blades, so I won't have a problem with them losing edge suddenly, or chipping at an inopportune moment. Yeah. I'm an elitist. I know I have a problem, but what pyschiatrist would be comfortable talking to me while I'm waving knives around? | ||||||||||||
